The client was struggling with extremely high electricity expenses, with monthly bills ranging between ₹10–12 lakhs. Despite having a large roof area, the installation of a solar system wasn’t straightforward. The roof was scattered with ventilation shafts and uneven structures, significantly reducing the usable surface for panels. Additionally, the client required a cost-effective solution with a short payback period, ensuring that the investment could start generating savings as quickly as possible.

Our Design & Engineering Approach

Detailed Shadow Analysis

A comprehensive shadow study was carried out to identify the impact of existing ventilation shafts and uneven roof structures. This allowed us to strategically position solar panels and maximize the usable roof area without efficiency losses.

High-Efficiency Mono PERC Modules

We selected Mono PERC solar modules, known for their superior performance in limited spaces. These modules generate higher kWh per square meter, ensuring maximum power output from every panel installed.

Flexible String Inverter Configuration

To adapt to the roof’s complex layout, we designed a string inverter-based system. This provided flexibility in connecting solar panels across different sections, ensuring consistent performance even in uneven roof conditions.

Custom Elevated Structures

Our engineering team developed elevated mounting structures to bypass ventilation shafts and avoid shading. This not only optimized energy generation but also extended the life and safety of the system by ensuring proper airflow and maintenance access.

Optimized DC/AC Ratio

We carefully analyzed the system design to achieve the ideal DC/AC ratio. This balance helped us control the capital expenditure (CAPEX) while ensuring the system delivered maximum energy yield, making the project financially efficient.

Cable Sizing & Routing Optimization

To reduce technical losses, we optimized cable sizing and routing. This not only minimized energy loss during transmission but also enhanced system reliability and lowered long-term operational costs.

Integration with DISCOM Net-Metering

The entire solar system was seamlessly integrated with the local DISCOM’s net-metering policy, allowing the client to offset their grid consumption. This ensured that every extra unit generated was credited, providing maximum financial benefit and faster payback.
